Information for Parents

The involvement of parents in their children's education is very important to us. Parents are always welcome in school and many volunteer to help in classes, listen to readers or accompany children on trips.

At St Julian's we seek to develop a strong partnership with parents - so that we can work together to gain the very best for all our children and to ensure they have a happy and successful time at s
chool.

This section is intended to provide useful information for parents and prospective parents. Please contact the school if you need any further information.

OFSTED Report
We are very pleased to have gained, once again, the Inclusion Quality Mark and to have had our Healthy Schools status renewed.  Following a very successful Ofsted in February 2007, we are now working towards the Art's Mark.  The ICT mark, which is a national accreditation scheme that recognises schools for their achievements in reaching a standard of maturity in their use of technology, was achieved in May 2009.  We hold the Bristol Standard - a quality assurance self-evaluation award for good practice in the Foundation Stage.  B&NES have awarded the school with a certificate for outstanding transition of children into the Foundation Stage from their pre-school setting.  We hold the Children and Young People's Rights Charter - which recognises that pupils are involved in decision making across all aspects of school life.  We are currently working towards earning a Gold Award with Sing Up - a government-funded initiative promoting singing in schools.
