LONGLEAT TRIP

Last Monday, Chestnut and Oak visited Longleat! We had the most fantastic time, from seeing lots of incredible animals, enjoying the sun to riding the fun Longleat train and seeing super acrobatic seals on the Jungle Cruise.

We asked Oak class what they liked best about our trip to Longleat. Here are some of their replies:
I liked the train because there was a tunnel and we couldn’t see ourselves. The funniest moment was when Rio threw his shoe over the furry , spotty pigs and onto the train track and we had to stop the train. I liked looking at the Koalas because I liked how they climb trees. I also liked the red panda because they had a big red bushy tail like a squirrel. We didn’t see the macaque monkeys because they take bits off the bus but Mrs Parker told us that the monkey in charge is called Phil , like Mr P! I liked the boat and seeing the baby seals. We also saw the gorillas and lots of black and white monkeys.  I loved looking at the giant tortoises because they grow for 100 years. I like the Zebras and their black and white stripes. I liked the shape of the red panda head and it is really soft.

In Chestnut, we wrote recounts of our trip to Longleat.! Here are some of our sentences:
Clara – First I was squinting at the amazing animals while Mrs Parker told us interesting facts. Next I looked closely at the bright pink flamingos floundering around in the mud, all the pelicans got soaked.
Lawrence – Then I went to see the antelopes, they are a sensitive creature and when they are angry they charge. After that, I saw my favourite animal, which is wolves.
Isabella –  Finally I saw the beautiful and black gorillas.
