We have three teams of children who work on their own set of aims and objectives throughout the year, representing pupil voice, reaching out to local communities and charities and helping to make our school a happy place to be.
Our House Captains and Vice Captains are pupils currently in Years 5 and 6. They represent their house throughout the year in school and in competitions. They encourage every child to do their best at all times in and to earn House Points as a result. Every week the house captains collate and announce the house point totals which are announced in the weekly celebration assembly. The house with the most house points each term earns a mini-treat, organised by the house captains. The house captains also help organise events such as inter-house competitions and sports day.
Children on the Equality and Ethos Team come from Years 4, 5 and 6. They write to the Head Teacher to apply to be on the team. As a group they help and support children to make the school a friendly and fair place where everyone feels safe, happy and secure. The EE-Team take part in learning walks and talk to other children about how they feel in school. They act as playground buddies to help anyone who needs a friend or some help to solve a problem. The EE-Team have written an E-Charter for the school, help oragnise Core Value activities and sometimes help during Collective Worship.
The School Council is made up from children from Year 2 through to Year 6. Classes vote each September for two children in their class to represent them on the school council. The council listen to what things children would like to improve and suggest ways to do this. They also find ways to support our local and wider community such as through fund raising events. They aim to work on one large project each year that will improve and enhance the school for everyone.
