Welcome

Welcome at St Julian's Church School

Our school serves the village community of Wellow and the surrounding areas.

St Julian’s was once federated with Shoscombe Church School. Now both schools are part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership Trust but continue to work in very close collaboration with a shared governing body.

All the Staff and Governors work hard to provide our children with a warm, secure and stimulating environment for learning, within an ethos which strongly promotes Christian values.

We believe that children need to develop skills that will equip them for the future, so we offer a rich curriculum that includes outdoor learning as well as the more traditional subject areas. We want to develop lively enquiring minds, confident individuals and focussed learners who can adapt in different situations and who can work well with others.

We aim to co-operate with parents in encouraging each child to develop academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

This website aims to provide a stimulating link between parents, children and staff, to share and appreciate successes within school and celebrate learning.

We trust that you will find the information you require and that in doing so you get a flavour of our school, our ethos and our achievements. However, if you are considering sending your child to St Julian’s Church School, we strongly recommend you and your child make a personal visit to the school.

If you are already part of our school community you will know we offer you a warm welcome. If you are new to us, we hope you will soon accept our offer to become part of a small, rural, village primary school.
