Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium at St Julian's Church School

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium Grant, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.

The Pupil Premium grant is given to schools to help provide additional provision or resources that will remove barriers to learning and help raise pupil attainment.

All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received and how this is being used.

If you think your family might be eligible to apply for pupil premium funding, please take a look at the BANES Pupil Premium website to apply (it is often referred to as Free School Meals). It costs you nothing at all, but could benefit your family.

Our Pupil Premium Strategy statement details how the grant will be spent this year at our school.
