London Trip

On the day of our trip to London we arrived at school just before 7:00am and got on the bus. When we arrived at London, we went to an art gallery called the Tate Modern. There was lots of art on display including sculptures and paintings. We also had lunch there. We then went on a boat called the clipper. We arrived at Big Ben soon afterwards. We then walked to the House of Parliament where we were given visitors lanyards. There was also a headset we were given so we could hear our tour guide at all times. We then visited the House of Commons – but not the House of Lords because it has some construction work happening. Sadly out trip was then over, but we all had a fantastic time that we will remember for years to come.

On the 3rd of November 2023, we went to London. We first went on a road trip (for roughly 3 hours) then arrived at 10am in London. We were shocked to see the entrance to the Tate Modern. As we entered, we saw a mermaid-like tail (which was made from bottle caps) hanging above us. Then we went to the tenth floor (we had to take a lift) and saw the beautiful view across London. We then went to the Palace of Westminster. It was HUMUNGOUS! As we entered, there was a large hall that looked like Hogwarts.

On Friday 3rd November, Years 4, 5 and 6 went to London on a school trip. The first place that we went was the Tate Modern, which holds some of the greatest artwork in history. As we approached the Grand Turbine Hall, we came across a massive, beautiful piece of artwork. The artwork was a giant fishing net with lots of little squares and was coloured in lots of types of reds, oragnes and yellows. The majestic artwork sent shivers down my spine and it felt really cool to that close to it.
