Football Tournament

This week we took ten of our Year 5/6 children to a small schools football tournament. We played three games in our group: Kilmersdon 0-0 St Julian’s; High Littleton 0-1 St Julian’s; Shoscombe 0- 3 St Julian’s .

The results saw us finish top of our group and we went into the semi-finals against Chilcompton. The boys played brilliantly and worked so well as a team. Sadly we lost this game 2-0. The final result left St Julian’s 3rd out of 12 overall. It is a long time since our Year 5/6 team finished this high in a football tournament. A huge thank you to all the parents and families who came and supported on a cold and slightly wet evening.

A big thank you to Mali (ex-pupil and sibling to Taio) who has supported myself, the team and the coaching as they played. Thank you finally to our team: Archie, Hunter, Jack, Ralph, Harry P, Harrison L, Sid, Ezra, Taio and Owen. You were an excellent team and perfect role models !
