Community Links at St Julian's Church School

Wellow is a vibrant and welcoming village and we value being part of its community.

We are keen to develop strong relationships with local people, organisations and groups, so welcome opportunities to work together in ways that enrich our children’s experiences and contribute to village life.

Our relationship with St Julian’s Church is an important part of school life. We use the church for our weekly Tuesday worship and for services and celebrations at key points throughout the year.

We also enjoy a close relationship with Wellow’s Magic Box Nursery, helping to build strong connections for children and families as they begin their educational journey.

The village itself is an important resource for our learning. We make use of our local surroundings to bring the curriculum to life, with children exploring places and features such as the old railway line, the ford and the long barrow. These experiences help children develop a strong sense of place and understand the history, geography and community around them.

We also enjoy opportunities to contribute to village life, including occasionally sharing our singing with the Village Lunch Club.

We are always pleased to hear from local people, groups and organisations who would like to work with the school. If you live or work in Wellow and have an idea for a project, activity, visit or partnership, please contact the school office.
