Every child is given the opportunity to perform over the year and as they progress through the school
Performances and Events
Performances and special events are an important part of school life at St Julian’s. They give children opportunities to develop their confidence, creativity and teamwork.
Our performances take place in a range of settings, including the school hall and grounds, Wellow’s village church and other local schools.
Each class also holds a class assembly during the year, providing children with the opportunity to share their learning and experiences with parents and families.
Our programme varies from year to year, but typically includes:
Autumn
- Whole School Harvest Service at the church
- Whole School Remembrance Service
Winter
- Lower School Nativity at the church
- Upper School Carol Concert at the church
- Whole School Christingle Service at the church
- Years 5/6 Speak Out Debate Competition, organised by the MNSP Trust
Spring
- Dance Umbrella – Years 5/6 and Dance Club
- Whole School Easter Service at the church
Summer
- Years 3/4 Poetry Slam Competition, organised by the MNSP Trust
- Whole School Music Recital
- Dancing at the PTA Duck Race
- Year 6 Leavers’ Service at the church
- Upper School Summer Production
