School Meals
Our school meal provider is The Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.
Our school lunches are produced and managed by the MNSP Trust Catering Team and SchoolGrid is the platform we use to share menus and take payment.
Our school meals are freshly prepared at a nearby school and delivered to St Julian’s, where they are served in our main hall. We offer a varied and nutritious menu that changes with the seasons, providing children with a range of tasty and balanced meal choices.
We are able to accommodate specific dietary requirements where needed. If your child has an allergy, intolerance or other dietary need, please contact the school office so that we can discuss how best to support them.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive Universal Infant Free School Meals regardless of family income. Find out here if your child is eligible for further benefits related Free School Meals (also known as Pupil Premium).
All school meals are ordered online through your child’s SchoolGrid account. Please contact the school office if you require assistance.

Nut Free School
Although we recognise that this cannot be guaranteed, St Julian’s Church School is a Nut Free School. The school aims to protect children who have allergies to nuts yet also help them, as they grow up, to take responsibility as to what foods they can eat and to be aware of where they may be put at risk.
We do not allow nuts or nut products in school, including break time snacks and lunch boxes.
This means that the following items should not be brought into school:
- Packets of nuts
- Peanut butter or Nutella
- Fruit and cereal bars that contain nuts
- Chocolate bars or sweets that contain nuts
- Cakes that contain nuts
- Any home cooked meals for packed lunches that include nuts
- Anything which includes nuts
While we encourage parents to avoid foods that state they ‘may contain traces of nuts’, we recognise that often this is very hard to avoid when packing a lunch box, therefore these items may be brought to school.
