NEW KIT & NETBALL

It has been great to see so many children participating in our new netball club on a Monday after school. Last week we tried out our new skills by playing a match against St Vigor and St John’s School in Chilcompton. It was great to see how far the girls have come since the first week they started with their coach Molly. It was a very wet and cold evening, but the girls had tremendous support from family cheering them on. Sadly, it wasn’t a win for us this time but all the girls had a great time and were asking for another match. We were also delighted to be the ones to show off St Julian’s new competition kit. At the end of the game each team awarded a player of the match. Willow in Year 4 was chosen for her skill and determination throughout the match. The teachers’ award went to Isabelle in Year 6 who played a fantastic game, managing to intercept a lot of passes and contributing a lot throughout the match.
Mrs Parker

A big thank you to a group of last year’s Year 6 parents who gave an incredibly generous donation towards our new school sports competition kit. This kit will be used for all sporting competitions, tournaments and activity days we attend and is versatile enough to suit most sports! Thank you to the PTA who organised ordering the kits and had them embroidered with the school logo.
