Roman Trip

On Wednesday, Beech class travelled to Caerleon Roman Fortress and Baths to enjoy a jam-packed day of activities to help us further understand our History learning on Roman Britain. The children learnt about how Romans kept clean at the baths, examined artefacts at the museum and even met a Roman soldier at the amphitheatre who taught them about the different gladiator fights that would have been held there. Highlights of the day included trying on Roman armour, discovering what Roman barracks were like, and learning to march and create formations during our Roman soldier training camp. Well done Beech class, you were a credit to St Julian’s and demonstrated wonderful learning behaviour.
