RAILWAY TRIP

As part of our history learning, Oak and Chestnut class enjoyed an exciting trip to the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore. The children visited the signal box to learn about the role of the signal person, visited the engine shed to see the restoration of trains, heard a talk by one of the station masters where children handled historical artefacts, took a ride on the mini train and then finished by eating lunch on a steam train! A big thank you to the many volunteers who supported the trip. Without their support the trip would not have been possible.
