Year 5/6 Quad Kids

This Monday, we took a team of Year 5/6 children to compete in a Quad Kids competition against 15 other small and large schools from the local area. The children all competed in four events: a 70m sprint, a 600m race, a standing long jump, and a vortex throw. Every child completed all four disciplines and was a credit to the school.
In the 600m race, our girls and boys competed against 15 other children. Both Eliza and Sid finished first in their respective races – a fantastic achievement! The heat made conditions challenging, but the children showed great determination, especially with the final event being a tough 600m run over three laps! For some of our children, this was their first time taking part in this type of event – and they truly shone. It was a pleasure to see them all achieve so much. Overall, we finished in a respectable 7th place, competing against six larger schools.
