SAFETY WEEK

Our whole school enjoyed a week dedicated to safety, exploring how we can keep ourselves and others safe. All children approached the topics thoughtfully and with maturity, showing great care and understanding as they reflected on the important issues discussed.

Throughout the week, children learnt about a range of key safety topics, including road safety, online safety and water safety, as well as how to recognise potential hazards in the home. We also explored who we can turn to as a trusted adult and celebrated the important roles played by helpers within our local communities.

As part of our focus on keeping safe, we also took part in the NSPCC’s Speak Out. Stay Safe. campaign. The NSPCC volunteers were full of praise for the children, commending their thoughtful approach to some challenging topics and highlighting just how kind, respectful and considerate they were throughout the sessions.

We are very proud of the way our children engaged with these important lessons and demonstrated such care for themselves and others.
